Tournament weekends are always a grind — early mornings, a lot of innings, and a bracket that doesn’t give you much room for mistakes.

GYGSA’s 12U GT Elite rose to the occasion at the LET’S GET IT STARTED 5GG Tournament, battling their way through the bracket and staying in the winners’ bracket the entire time on their way to the championship.

Anyone who’s spent time around tournament softball knows that’s no small thing. One tough inning can send you the long way around the bracket, but GT Elite kept taking care of business and never let that happen.

When it was all said and done, the girls got to celebrate with some well-earned hardware — championship “67” rings — which they got a big kick out of.

Congratulations to the GT Elite players, coaches, and families on a great tournament run. It’s always great seeing one of our GYGSA teams bring home a title and represent the league well.
